La Beaute Noire (Black Beauty) is an elegant Cat with a long sweeping tail.  La Beaute Noire is completely handmade and has no glaze.  His rich black color is the result of saggar firing where carbon from burning paper is absorbed into the clay body.  Each bird is handmade, Raku glazed and fired.  The birds pivot on wire posts.  La Beaute Noire would made an elegant addition to your art collection, or a special gift for a cat lover.
