These gossiping blackbirds on a snow white platform are completely handmade and saggar fired.  The birds are not glazed, the rich black color is the result of saggar firing where carbon from burning paper is absorbed into the clay body.  Birds are not attached to the ceramic platform and may be arranged to suit your mood.
