Niches Niches
The Niche is an ornamental recessed wall hanging made entirely from clay. Each Niche is stained, glazed and fired in a kiln. I use a variety of themes with embossing and sprigs (clay pressed into a mold and added to the Niche). The final result is something like a shadow box, inviting the viewer to explore the myriad surface treatments.
